Hip-hop superstar Eminem has offered his services to be a guest judge on U.K.’s “The X Factor.” Slim Shady said a global, platinum-selling star like him on the judges’ panel would “guarantee” a hip-hop star.
He told The Sun, “No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars. You need to prepare contestants for what it’s really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.”
He added, “So much average talent comes out of these reality shows, it’s time to give people a chance who deserve it. A hip-hop star will never win a show like ‘The X Factor’ without somebody like me on the panel.”
Eminem also said that the current judges – Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh, and Cheryl Cole – aren’t qualified in hip-hop.
And while he wouldn’t have time to do it full-time, he would come and be a guest judge on the show.
